Angelina Mukono is a seasoned professional with a robust academic foundation and a diverse career spanning over two decades. With a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Otago and certifications in Project Management for Development (PM4DEV) and mediation, Angelina has effectively merged her legal, mental health, and managerial expertise to lead initiatives in both corporate and NGO environments. Her career highlights include serving as Lead Program Coordinator for 2B1 NGO in South Africa, where she directed multi-dimensional projects, facilitated stakeholder engagement, and implemented process improvements to achieve organizational goals. As Co-Founder of Amani (PTY) Ltd and TamuTamu Co., she played a pivotal role in strategic planning, operational management, and stakeholder alignment to foster growth and sustainability. Angelina’s deep commitment to social impact is exemplified through her work at the University of Otago as an advocate, mediator, and Ethical Behaviour Network Coordinator, where she resolved workplace grievances, facilitated mediation, and advanced ethical standards. Her early career as a legal officer and state attorney in Tanzania further established her expertise in regulatory frameworks and legal advocacy. Angelina, was born in Tanzania, where she completed her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Dar es Salaam. With a passion for justice and a strong commitment to fostering peace, she pursued advanced studies at the prestigious University of Otago in New Zealand. She earned a Postgraduate Diploma and a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is also a mental health advocate and mediator, with over 10 years of experience addressing mental health challenges and conflict resolution in New Zealand and Tanzania. Currently, Angel serves as the Director of Operations at Refugees Beyond Borders in South Africa. In this role, she oversees the organization's operations, including resource allocation, logistics, and process management, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality across all departments.
